For seeing what planes are overhead, I’ve been using ADS-B Exchange since its a free-er version of the more commercial apps.

However in writing this, I’ve learned that they’ve also sold out, and many folks have even moved on from it. According to the thread globe.adsb.fi now seems to have community support.
