Which minivan?
Each square is one model year: colour is Consumer Reports reliability, the big number is a composite score. Tap a square for trims, price and sources.
How to read the grid
Set what you need in “What you need”. The composite score combines reliability, safety, AWD, owner satisfaction, hybrid and features. Grey squares are ruled out and say why. Striped squares are a maybe: a Must could not be checked because the data is missing, and missing is never treated as a no. A large “?” means the year has no CR reliability score; it is scored neutral and never shown as a model's best while another year has a score.
Trim features partly from WhichTrim (whichtrim.com), from EPA and NHTSA public data. Reliability and owner satisfaction from Consumer Reports; safety from NHTSA and IIHS.

Every score weight is 0, so every score is 0. Raise at least one weight under “Score weights and penalty”.
Sources and method
The page reads data.json (every value with its source
URL, confidence, note, and date), config.json (feature
list, default needs, and score weights), and
prices.json (derived price ranges). In the site
repository they live next to this page, in
static/tools/minivans/.
Composite score
Each component is scored 0 to 1: CR predicted reliability ÷ 100;
safety, the average of NHTSA overall stars ((stars − 1) ÷ 4) and IIHS
(award and test grades); AWD available on any trim; CR owner
satisfaction ÷ 100; hybrid (plug-in scores a little more than hybrid);
and features, judged on the best single trim that doesn't lack a Must,
against your Must and Nice settings. The weighted sum is divided by
the total weight. The total is multiplied by the penalty when CR
reliability is 40 or lower (the bottom two colour bands) or NHTSA is
under 4 stars. A missing input is scored neutral and flagged with “?”.
A year with no CR reliability score gets a large “?”, and a model's
“best” only uses years with a score; if no year has one, the best is
marked “no CR data”. Estimating a score from CR's verdict is off by
default. The reliability floor uses CR's verdict when there is no
score, so a year CR rates poorly can't pass it; a year with neither is
a maybe. IIHS test grades use the current tests only; a test with no
current grade, like a missing award, scores neutral. The defaults are
in
config.json.
